This Cookie Policy explains how MaxwellX uses cookies, pixels, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies on the MaxwellX website.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, device identifiers, and log files.
2. Why MaxwellX uses cookies and similar technologies
We may use these technologies to:
- operate the Site;
- keep the Site secure;
- remember cookie preferences;
- prevent spam and abuse;
- understand Site performance;
- measure page usage and errors;
- improve content and navigation;
- support forms and application submissions;
- support media, embedded content, or third-party tools where enabled.
3. Cookie categories
MaxwellX sets strictly necessary cookies and, where permitted, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). The categories below describe the full set of cookie types and how MaxwellX treats each; marketing and advertising cookies are not in use today.
Strictly necessary
Required for security, consent preferences, form operation, page loading, and basic Site function. These cannot usually be disabled through our cookie tool.
Functional
Remember choices such as display preferences, accessibility preferences, or saved form progress if enabled.
Analytics
Help us understand visits, traffic, popular pages, errors, device types, and performance. MaxwellX uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC), which sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies for up to 2 years. In jurisdictions requiring consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland), analytics cookies are disabled by default until consent is given. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser settings.
Marketing / advertising
Used for advertising, retargeting, cross-site tracking, or campaign measurement. MaxwellX does not use marketing or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, MaxwellX will obtain consent where required and provide opt-out controls before any such cookies are set.
4. Current implementation
| Technology | Category | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Consent needed? | |---|---|---|---|---|---| | mx_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores cookie choices | MaxwellX | 6–12 months | No | | Server logs | Strictly necessary / security | Security, diagnostics, abuse prevention | Hosting provider | See Data Retention Notice | No | | Form processor cookies | Strictly necessary / functional | Submit contact/team forms | our service providers | _ga / _ga_* (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | Site performance and usage | Google LLC | Up to 2 years | Where required (EEA/UK/CH: off until consent) | Advertising pixels | Marketing | Advertising/retargeting | our service providers

6. Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law and technically feasible, MaxwellX will treat recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control as requests to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or similar tracking activities.
7. Third-party cookies
Third-party providers may set their own cookies or similar technologies. Their practices are governed by their own policies.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when technology changes.
