Geometry changes the Casimir force.

The Casimir effect is a quantum boundary effect. When objects are very close, the geometry of their surfaces helps decide which electromagnetic vacuum modes can exist between them. That changes the force.

What the paper gives MaxwellX

The paper gives MaxwellX a serious benchmark:

  • sphere over circular pillar
  • sphere over hollow cylinder
  • sphere over pillar array
  • geometry-dependent force-gradient behavior
  • measured micro/nano separations
  • theory/experiment comparison

Why MaxwellX cares

This is the cleanest scientific anchor for the phrase “geometry changes force.” It gives MaxwellX a source-linked model to recreate in public and a measurement path to pursue through facilities and partners.

Current stage

Active Model.

The public Casimir Apparatus is an educational model. The next internal stage is solver validation and partner measurement.
