Changing geometry or material response can change a physical interaction. The difficult engineering question is whether a complete apparatus delivers the claimed useful effect after all inputs and exchanges are counted.
Read the scope of a result
The MaxwellX evidence registry includes experiments on time-varying wave media and Casimir-force control. These are reasons to study specific mechanisms. They do not establish unlimited vacuum energy or a self-propelling isolated device.
A modulation experiment needs an account of the drive supplying the time dependence. A force experiment needs an account of its environment and all momentum exchange. A numerical example needs convergence checks, reference cases and uncertainty before it becomes an instrument for prediction.
Keep three statuses separate
A published observation belongs to its authors and apparatus. A MaxwellX simulation is a model under assumptions. A MaxwellX experimental result requires its own methods, raw data, controls and analysis. An attractive visualization cannot move a claim from one status to another.
Primary-source trail: Hou et al., temporal taper experiment—registry access covers abstract and opening introduction/results; circuit supplement was not reviewed. Shelden et al., Casimir-force control—registry access covers publisher-indexed abstract and figure descriptions, not complete methods. Lähteenmäki et al., dynamical Casimir experiment—driven superconducting setting; it does not establish net energy after drive and refrigeration costs.
Update limit: these source scopes are retained from the existing evidence registry, not a fresh experimental replication or full-text re-audit.
